Terms of Service

Pre-launch draft · Last updated 31 October 2026

Complete before accepting orders: identify the registered service operator, name the competent consumer ADR entity, add the restricted/prohibited mail rules, confirm storage and delivery workflows, and configure the payment and cancellation steps to match the live checkout.

These terms describe the Golden Mail Box virtual mailbox service. They are intended to apply when a customer orders or uses the service. If you are a consumer, mandatory consumer rights continue to apply and take precedence where required by law.

1. Who provides the service?

Golden Mail Box is a service operated by Golden Creative Studio & Cowork in Loulé, Algarve, Portugal. The contracting provider is [insert full registered legal name, legal form, registered address, company registration number and tax/VAT number].

Contact us at support@goldenmailbox.pt or +351 923 247 026.

2. What the service includes

Subject to the plan selected and instructions you provide, Golden Mail Box provides a mailing address in Loulé, Portugal; receipt and recording of eligible incoming mail; envelope notifications or previews; optional Open & Scan requests; forwarding requests; and secure shredding requests.

The service address is not a guarantee that a public authority, bank, tax authority, immigration authority, or other organisation will accept it for a particular purpose. You are responsible for checking the requirements that apply to your use of an address, including NIF, visa, residence, tax, banking, or company-registration requirements.

[Publish the actual eligible-item, prohibited-item, parcel-size/weight, unclaimed-mail, identity-verification, mail-authorisation, and processing-time rules before taking orders.] We may decline or pause handling where an item is unsafe, unlawful, outside the service limits, or cannot be handled as instructed, and will contact you where practicable.

3. Your responsibilities

4. Plans, prices and additional fees

The current advertised monthly plan prices are Basic €9.99, Pro €29.99, and Enterprise €69.99. Prices are shown before VAT; VAT at 23% is added. The plan features are described on the pricing page and may differ by plan.

We will show or confirm the total charge, including applicable VAT, postage, and requested services, before taking payment or carrying out a chargeable request. We will not apply a new fee to an existing plan without providing notice and any consent required by law.

5. Subscription, payment and cancellation

Plans are intended to be billed monthly. When checkout is enabled, the checkout and order confirmation will state the payment method, billing date, renewal terms, and how to cancel. At present, this static prototype does not take payment; an enquiry or email alone is not a completed paid subscription unless we confirm otherwise in writing.

You may request cancellation at any time by using the account cancellation method shown in the live service or by contacting support@goldenmailbox.pt. Cancellation stops future renewals according to the billing terms shown at checkout. It does not remove any statutory withdrawal or refund right, or charges already properly incurred for services you requested.

[Confirm how remaining physical mail, digital scans and account data are handled after cancellation, and state the exact renewal/cancellation cut-off before enabling recurring payments.]

6. Mail handling and instructions

We will take reasonable care when carrying out a confirmed instruction. You authorise the operator and the personnel or service providers needed to perform the service to receive and handle items addressed to you. An Open & Scan or shredding instruction should be clear and specific; shredding is irreversible once completed.

Forwarding requires a complete destination address. Delivery times, customs charges, carrier restrictions, and delivery outcomes may depend on third-party carriers and destination rules. We will disclose the applicable postage and handling charges before dispatch where practicable.

7. Availability and service limitations

We may temporarily suspend or change service features for maintenance, security, legal compliance, or circumstances outside our reasonable control. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where exclusion or limitation is not permitted by law, or removes statutory consumer rights.

8. Complaints, applicable law and disputes

Please contact us first at support@goldenmailbox.pt. Consumers may also use the Portuguese Electronic Complaints Book. Information about authorised consumer alternative dispute resolution entities is available from the Portuguese Directorate-General for the Consumer; the competent entity depends on the circumstances of the dispute.

These terms are governed by Portuguese law, subject to any mandatory consumer protections that apply in your country of residence. Any court proceedings remain subject to mandatory jurisdiction rules.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms to reflect changes to the service or legal requirements. Material changes will be communicated as required by law. The version and date shown on this page identify the current text.
